Sex offenders get disconnected from social networking sites
By Shellee HaleAttorney General Andrew Cuomo’s cyber battle against New York state’s sex offenders gained momentum last Thursday as 13 more social networking sites agreed to remove convicted sex offenders from their Web sites using New York’s Electronic Securing and Targeting of Online Predators Act.
MySpace and Facebook were the first sites to implement the e-STOP list two weeks ago and removed more than 3,500 New York sex offenders from their Web sites.
